Y un año ha pasado ~ And a year has passed

Un año es un gran periodo de tiempo, y ha sido asi, muy largo y duro. Ha sido un año especialmente académico, he estudiado mucho, mas que nunca. De hecho el año se puede traducir de la siguiente manera: 1 aprobado, 5 notables, 1 sobresaliente y 1 matricula de honor. Y además he conseguido traer a Kate a aquí, Almería, para trabar de Auxiliar de Conversación en la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.

Si, he conseguido unas notas excelentes pero no ha sido facil. Ya solo me quedan 3 asignaturas en la universidad, derecho civil 3, derecho civil 4 y derecho mercantil 2.

Tras conseguir esas notas me dije, ¿por qué no probamos a trabajar? tengo ganas de trabajar. Pues bien despues de enviar varios CVs solo consegui hacer de pasante para dos mujeres en la C/ Altamira. Sin embargo, esos dias con ellas fueron muy confusos porque no sabia a que hora entraba a que hora salia, no tenia horario! En fin, el colmo fue mas tarde cuando llegaba tocaba a la puerta y nadie me abria! Quien puede pensar en un despacho de abogados que esta siempre cerrado? Despues de varias veces pasar por alli, tocar a la puerta y que nadie me abriese me canse.

El caso es que hace poco me ha salido un proyecto para el agno que viene o siguientes y una llamada de un despacho de abogados en la C/ Reyes catolicos. Cuando entre a entregar el CV parecia un buen despacho, con secretaria y todo. El miercoles tengo la entrevista con ellos, a ver si hay suerte!

Ahora dentro de poco voy a ir a ver un concierto de flamenco en la Plaza de la Catedral.

PD: Estoy escribiendo desde el Mac de Kate asi que por eso no hay gns ni tampoco acentos, asi que pedir disculpas. Y la version en ingles ya vendra otro dia.

Last events

Bueno pues han pasado varios meses desde que salí de Francia y llegue aquí. A decir verdad mucho no he hecho pero es que tampoco tenía mucho que hacer aparte de estudiar.
Los distinguidos eventos que han ocurrido son en su mayoría:
-La compra de un ordenador nuevo de última generación, que mi padre ya se ha adjudicado a pesar de que era para mí.
-He ido con mis amigos un par de veces a la bolera de Roquetas.
-Kate ha vuelto a EE.UU. y yo me voy a allí en una semana.
Tengo unas ganas locas de ir, parecen que los días no pueden ser más largos. Es justo al reves que cuando hay exámenes. Si hay exámenes dos semanas son como dos días y cuando tengo ganas de irme una semana parece un mes. No se quien fue el gracioso que se le ocurrio eso del tiempo. Y la cosa es que creo que el mes que me voy a pasar en EE.UU. se va a parecer más corto que el día y medio que tengo que viajar de aquí a Jackson. Porque ese día y medio de viaje va a ser muuuy largo.

Well several months have passed since i came from France and i got here. To tell the truth i haven´t done much but there wasn´t much to do for me besides study.
The few distinguished events that have happened lately are:
- I got a new brand last genaration computer, that my father has taken for himself despite the fact that it was for me but now he likes it more that his own computer.
- I have been playing bowling with my friends in Roquetas.
- Kate got back to the States and i will be there in a week.
I am like crazy to go to the States, but these days can´t seem to be even longer. It´s just the inverse for exams. If there are exams, two weeks look like two days, however, when i want to leave and finish one week as soon as possible one week can look like a month. I don´t know who was the funny guy who invented time but i would like to have a few words with him. And the things is that the month i am gonna spend in the States is going to feel shorter than the day and a half i am going to need to spend traveling from Almería to Jackson. Because that day and a half is going to be reaaally loong.

De vuelta en España/ Back in Spain

Ya estoy de vuelta en España.
Termine todos los examenes, aprobados. Incluso el último que la profesora se empeño en tenerme allí hasta el ultimo día.
Ahora sólo queda que me convaliden todo, dios, esto parece no terminar nunca. Pero bueno, ya estoy de vuelta en Almería. Salgo por las noches, quedo con los colegas, etc...
Este año me voy a matricular de muchas asignaturas así que ya he empezado con las asignaturas de las que me voy a examinar y en diciembre, fundamentales aprobarlas al primer intento.
El 14 de agosto por la noche me ire a ver a Kate a Jackson y me pasare en EE.UU. hasta el 15 de septiembre. Tengo ya muchas ganas de verla, básicamente es casi mi única razón de ir a EE.UU.
Por último decir, que me he comprado un ordenador nuevo que me llegará este jueves o miercoles con el que por fin podre jugar a algun juego moderno ya que el que tenía ya sólo servía para juegos antiguos.

Well, i am back in Spain.
I already finished all the exams, all passed. I even passed the last one whose teacher insisted on keeping me there until the very last day.
Now the only thing left is the convalidation of all my credits, gosh, this seems to never to end. But well, i am back in Almería. I go out, see my friends, etc...
This year i am going to have loads of subjects so i have already started studying the subjects i am going to have in december, esentials to pass at the first try. Im going to the States to see Kate, the 14th of agoust at night and i will be there until the 15th of september. I´m looking forward to see her, thats basically my only reason to go the States.
The last thing to say is that i have bought a new computer that will arrive tomorrow or after tomorrow and i will be finally able to play the new computer games because my old computer could only play old ones.

Harto / fed up

Estoy harto de los profesores franceses, de mi coordinador, de los examenes. Una profesora no me quiere decir la nota de un examen que hice en avril y ademas me dice que ha corregido mi examen como si fuera el de cualquier otro. Mi coordinador vive en estrasburgo y no me responde a mis emails. Los examenes parecen nunca acabar, puede que termine esta semana o termine dentro de dos semanas, puede que me vaya el viernes que viene o a final de mes. Todo esto me esta matando.

I am fed up with my french teachers, my coordinator and the exams. A teacher doesn´t want to tell me the mark of a subject i already did in april and she also said that she has corrected it like i was another french student. My coordinator lives in strasbourgh and doesn´t ever answer any of my emails to him. The exams seem endless, i might finish this week or two weeks later, or next friday or at the end of the month. This all is killing me.

Suiza y vuelta a estudiar

Kate tenía que ir a Suiza para que le cambiaran su pasaporte de trabajadora a turista asi que decidi ir a verla a Ginebra (Suiza) el fin de semana y pasar un fantastico fin de semana. Fue un viaje muy agradable aunque fueron seis horas de tren que me dejaron muuuy cansado. Aún así fue muy agradable volver a verla y ver Ginebra que tiene un paisaje precioso. Estuve desde el viernes hasta el domingo por la tarde.
Y ahora estoy denuevo en Metz preparandome para el próximo exámen que es este viernes, cuando termine ese ya sólo me quedara uno y podré por fin relajarme completamente.

Kate had to go to Geneva to change the worker passport to the tourist one so i decided to go see her there and spend the weekend together. It was a very nice trip despite the 6 hours i spent in the train that left me veery tired. However it was great to see her again and being able to see the beautiful Geneva sight together. I was there from friday to yesterday afternoon.
And now I´m back to Metz getting ready for the next exam that is this Friday, once i finish that one there will only be one exam left and i will finally be able to completely relax.

Estrés

Estoy estresado, llevo encerrado en mi cuarto estudiando, haciendo un trabajo o leyendo desde el martes pasado (o eso creo). El trabajo parece terminado aunque aún faltan detalles como la bibliografía, sentencias, etc. El examen más cercano es el martes, con lo que voy a ir muy justo estudiando, sin olvidar que no tengo el capitulo introductorio. Tanto estrés hace que me sienta simpre cansado, sin apetito, como por seguir el horario de comidas. Espero respuestas de profesores, pero ellos prefieren no responderme, argh eso no me ayuda con mis estrés. En fin, supongo que esta es la vida del estudiante en época de exámenes (el primer semestre fue bastante suave).

I´m stressed, i´m been confined in my room studying for too long, working on my paper or reading since last Tuesday (i think). This paper looks finished but there still are some details unfinished like bibliography, jurisprudence,etc. The nearest exam is this next Tuesday, and i´m quite short in time to study all of it, without not forgetting the fact that i don´t have the introductory chapter. So much stress is making me feel always tired, without appetite, i eat just to follow the schedule (because i´m supposed to eat). I´m still waiting for answer from several teachers, but it seems they don´t feel like answering me (argh), which doesn´t help with my stress. Nonetheless, i guess this is the student life in exam´s time (first semester was quite light).

La recta final - The last meters

Sí, otra vez por aquí, no me he olvidado del blog. No he podido renovar el blog tan a menudo como me hubiera gustado debido a mi carencia de internet y a que el wifi de la universidad no me deja hacer casi nada (incluido postear).

Han pasado muchas cosas desde el último post (tendré que leerlo a ver donde me quedé).

Hice el exámen de politica económica del 29 de avril, y creo que me salio algo decente. Y le pregunté a la profesora cuando me iba a decir la nota y dijo a final de curso, ¡a final de curso!, yo tengo un billete de avión que sacar, ¿sabes?
En fin, espero que me lo de para final de mayo, ahora tengo un trabajo que entregar el 26, en francés, de 10 páginas de derecho comparado sobre la huelga, ¡toma ya!, fácil. Este trabajo me está estresando porque parece no tener fin y el problema es que tengo un exámen el día 27 de problemas económicos europeos, del cual tengo que pedir a alguien en capitulo introductorio.
Después de eso sólo me quedarán dos exámenes orales con dos profesores distintos que deberían ir bastante bien, ya veremos.

Eso es respecto a exámenes.

El viaje en londres estuvo bastante entretenido. Hacía algunos años que no visitaba londres y es ENORME. Había unos cuantos londineses a los que era imposible entender, a veces me preguntaba, ¿pero hablan ingles?. Me extrañé de las veces que me pidieron el pasaporte (o DNI) y que ESCANEARAN mi dni. Yo me quedo flipado con el nerviosismo de los britanicos por el control, totalmente "orweliano".

Mi temporada de erasmus está acabando y la verdad es que tengo ganas de volver, estoy cansado y necesito unas pequeñas vacaciones de todo esto.

Kate vino a visitarme justo después de mi viaje a londres y pasámos unas vacaciones de una semana perfectas. El único problema es que cuando se fue me quede un poco triste otra vez, qué se le va a hacer, ciertamente no podía esperar otra cosa.

Parece que es posible que Kate venga a almeria en agosto una o dos semanas, lo que estaría muy bien. Las dos semanas en las que ella estuvo en almería fueron perfectas, quizás podamos repetir otras dos semanas perfectas en la playa. Al menos eso espero.

Yes, again over here, i haven´t forgotten this blog. I haven´t been able to renew this blog as much as i have wanted because of the lack of internet and because the wifi of the university doesn´t let me either.

It´s been lots of things since last post (i will have to read it to see what comes next).

I made the exam of the 29th of April of economic politics and i think i did it quite decently. And i asked the teacher when i was going to receive my grades, and she told me that at the end of the academic year, the end! woman!, i have a plane ticket to get, you know.

Whatever, i just hope to get it by the end of this month, now i have a 10-pages-long paper for the 26th, in French of compared law about the right to strike, there you go!, easy... This work is stressing me because it looks like it doesn´t have any end, it just keeps going and going. But the main problem is that i also have an exam the 27th about European economic problems, which i don´t have he introductionary chapter yet, so i will have to ask for it to someone.
After that i will only have two oral exams left with tow different teachers that should be easy, we´ll see.

That´s about exams.

The trip to London with my parents was fine. It had been a long time since i didn´t see the city, and it´s huge. There is something quite shocking, the number of times i was asked for my passport (identity card in my case) and they SCANNED my indentity card I just flip out with this British with their obssesion about control, very orwel like.

Mi time as an erasmus is runing out and truth be told, i kind of feel like going back to Almería, i need a little vacation of all this.

Kate came to visit just after my trip to London and we had a great one week vacation. The only problem is that i ended up a little sad as soon as she left, but it can´t be helped i guess.

It seems that is possible that Kate would come to Almería in Agoust for one or two weeks, which would be great. The two weeks we spent together in Almería last time were perfect. Maybe we can repeat an even more perfect two weeks, but this time in the beach. At least, i hope so.
